Inflammation busting celeriac fries Feature

Ingredients

  • 1 medium celeriac
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp paprika (optional)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • Turn the oven to 200 degrees C (180 C Fan)
  • Place the coconut oil in a baking tray and place in the oven to heat up for about five minutes
  • Peel the celeriac and slice into 1/2cm thick slices - Cut these further into sticks
  • Place the celeriac sticks in a bowl and rub in all the dry ingredients
  • Take the baking tray with the hot oil out of the oven (carefully) and add the coated celeriac sticks to the tray
  • Using large spoons or thongs move them about until they are all covered in the hot oil
  • Place the tray back in the oven and bake for between 30 to 45 minutes until cooked and nicely browned
