B12Oils Methyl is a special formulation of vitamin B12, which when applied topically has the potential to replace dietary vitamin B12 insufficiency. The active ingredient is a natural form of vitamin B12 obtained from non-animal sources. The vitamin B12 is formulated using TransdermOil, a mix of natural vegetable oils and surfactants allowing easy application to the skin with subsequent penetration of the water-soluble vitamin into the skin. The topical administration of vitamin B12 using B12Oils means that it may be effective even in individuals with chronic inflammatory bowel disease, gastric ulcers, or other types of gastritis, or those who have had gastric resection and those who take drugs such as MetforminTM who cannot absorb vitamin B12 from the intestine.
Vitamin B12 deficiency is often under-diagnosed in the general population, in pregnant women, in the elderly and in persons who have conditions such as gastritis, gastric ulcers, celiac disease and Crohn’s disease or who have had gastric bypass surgery and who cannot effectively absorb dietary vitamin B12. In addition, persons who have primarily a vegetarian or vegan diet can often be low in vitamin B12. In such cases babies born to vegan mothers may also be vitamin B12 deficient. Persons who are diabetic and take MetforminTM or who are heavy smokers can also be vitamin B12 deficient. Vitamin B12 deficiency can cause anaemia and may also be a precipitating factor in the initiation of conditions such as dementia, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, arthritis, celiac disease, Crohn’s disease and other forms of gastritis. In addition, deficiency of vitamin B12 can lead to lack of libido and low sperm counts. Vitamin B12 deficiency has also been associated with dementia, cognitive decline, peripheral neuropathy, neuritis, cardiovascular disease, and may have a putative role in macular degeneration. Vitamin B12 deficiency is common in people over 60, and over 50% of people entering nursing homes have a clinical or sub-clinical deficiency. It has recently been found that deficiency in vitamin B12 is a contributing factor in osteoporosis and may be more important than vitamin D. Vitamin B12 has also been found to be very important in controlling and reducing the inflammation associated with many inflammatory diseases and neuritis associated with diabetes or nutritional deficiency. The forms of vitamin B12 formulated in B12Oils are the natural forms of vitamin B12 found in the body, and as such is safe for persons with Leber’s disease. In addition, they can be used by persons who suffer from MTHFR mutations.
Methylcobalamin is essential for the correct processing of homocysteine and 5-MTHF and for the formation of S-adenosylmethionine, which is essential for many methylation reactions in the body.
Use of B12Oils
The product is designed for external use only. Avoid contact with eyes or mucous membranes. Apply only to intact skin, not to open wounds. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children. Protect from heat (Store below 30°C).
TransdermOil is a carefully designed mixture of surfactants and oils, which when mixed with aqueous solutions of vitamins, peptides and proteins and applied to the skin allows these active ingredients to be carried deep down into the skin where the ingredients can be of most benefit. The delayed release of Vitamin B12 from the formulation has the potential to provide an even supply of the vitamins throughout the day and into the night.
Priming the pump:
In order to prevent leakage during transport, the container has a small quantity of air to allow for expansion. Before use, the pump should be primed by pumping. During priming be careful to make sure that the contents of the pump are prevented from reaching clothing of other areas not for the intended use. Additionally, make sure that any expelled product is appropriately disposed of.
Do not shake the bottle. It will introduce air into the oils and make the pump splatter.
When used as a vitamin B12 supplement, apply one pump (squirt) of B12Oils to the bare forearm and gently massage the skin until the entire product has entered the skin. Repeat the application daily. A single pump (squirt) of the product delivers a 0.75 mg dose of vitamin B12.
Alternatively, the material can be applied to the palm of the hand and then used to massage into various parts of the body. Make sure that the material is completely rubbed into the skin. THIS PRODUCT MUST BE USED UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF A QUALIFIED PRACTITIONER OR MEDICAL DOCTOR.
During application, the skin must be clean, dry and warm. The oils will not penetrate cold wet skin.
B12Oils are extremely well tolerated If a reaction occurs to the product, discontinue use. No drug interactions have been reported with B12Oils
B12Oils are available in 15 ml pump bottles, which deliver approximately 50-60 doses/squirts per bottle.
The B12Oils products are oils. Care should be taken to avoid spilling on clothing or furniture. If a spill occurs, wash with warm soapy water
