B12Oils Adenosyl/MethylCobalamin.
B12Oils Adenosyl/methylcobalamin is a special formulation of vitamin B12, which has the potential to replace dietary vitamin B12 insufficiency. The active ingredients, adenosylcobalamin and methylcobalamin are the natural forms of vitamin B12 found in the body. The material is isolated and purified from non-animal sources. Adenosylcobalamin is essential for metabolic function in mitochondria, whilst methylcobalamin is an essential co-factor involved in over 100 different methylation reactions in the body and also is required for correct cycling of folate in the body. The vitamin B12 is formulated using TransdermOil, a mix of natural vegetable oils and surfactants.
Vitamin B12
Vitamin B12 deficiency is often under-diagnosed in the general population, in pregnant women, in the elderly and in persons who have conditions such as gastritis, gastric ulcers, celiac disease and Crohn’s disease or who have had gastric bypass surgery and who cannot effectively absorb dietary vitamin B12. In addition, persons who have primarily a vegetarian or vegan diet can often be low in vitamin B12. In such cases babies born to vegan mothers may also be vitamin B12 deficient. Persons who are diabetic and take MetforminTM or who are heavy smokers can also be vitamin B12 deficient. Vitamin B12 deficiency can cause anaemia and may also be a precipitating factor in the initiation of conditions such as dementia, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, arthritis, celiac disease, Crohn’s disease and other forms of gastritis. In addition, deficiency of vitamin B12 can lead to lack of libido and low sperm counts. Vitamin B12 deficiency has also been associated with dementia, cognitive decline, peripheral neuropathy, neuritis, cardiovascular disease, and may have a putative role in macular degeneration. Vitamin B12 deficiency is common in people over 60, and over 50% of people entering nursing homes have a clinical or sub-clinical deficiency. It has recently been found that deficiency in vitamin B12 is a contributing factor in osteoporosis and may be more important than vitamin D. Vitamin B12 has also been found to be very important in controlling and reducing the inflammation associated with many inflammatory diseases and neuritis associated with diabetes or nutritional deficiency. The forms of vitamin B12 formulated in B12Oils are the natural forms of vitamin B12 found in the body.
Methylcobalamin is an essential vitamin involved in the methylation cycle, and also within a correctly functioning folate cycle.
Adenosylcobalamin is essential for correct mitochondrial functioning and for the metabolism of odd-chain fatty acids and amino acids. Deficiency in adenosyl B12 has been associated with decreased mitochondrial function.
Potential uses of vitamin B12
Vitamin B12 can be used to support vitamin B12 deficiency per se, and it has potential application in the support of symptoms associated with skin conditions such as rosacea, atopic dermatitis, and for inflammatory conditions such neuritis, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, arthritis, osteoarthritis, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis and other forms of gastritis. In addition, regular use of high dose vitamin B12 may help to prevent the development of signs of ageing, such as reduced libido, reduced sperm counts, graying of the hair, lack of energy, and the development of neuronal conditions such as dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.
Use of B12Oils

About TransdermOil:
TransdermOil is a carefully designed mixture of surfactants and oils, which when mixed with aqueous solutions of vitamins, peptides and proteins forms a clear stable oil-based formulation. When applied to the skin these formulations have the potential to deliver the ingredients deep down into the skin where the ingredients can be of most benefit. The delayed release of Vitamin B12 from the formulation has the potential to provide an even supply of the vitamins throughout the day and into the night.
Priming the pump:
In order to prevent leakage during transport, the container has a small quantity of air to allow for expansion. Before use, the pump should be primed by pumping. During priming be careful to make sure that the contents of the pump are prevented from reaching clothing of other areas not for the intended use. Additionally, make sure that any expelled product is appropriately disposed of.
Do not shake the bottle. It will introduce air into the oils and make the pump splatter.
Dosage:
A single pump (squirt) of the product delivers a 2.5 mg dose of vitamin B12. This equates to 1.8 mg adenosylcobalamin and 0.7 mg methylcobalamin. Alternatively, the material can be applied to the palm of the hand and then used to massage into various parts of the body. Make sure that the material is completely rubbed into the skin. During application, the skin must be clean, dry and warm. The oils will not penetrate cold wet skin. THIS PRODUCT MUST ONLY BE USED UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF A QUALIFIED PRACTITIONER OR MEDICAL DOCTOR.
